This Tide Chart provides approximate information for the tides in and around Punta Gorda, and the north end of Charlotte Harbor. For the Peace River at Shell Point (Harbor Heights and Shell Creek) add 45 minutes to the times on the chart. Tides at the south end of Charlotte Harbor occur earlier. Add 3.5 hours for Tides at Boca Grande Pass.
Remember that Charlotte Harbor tides will also vary depending on the speed and the direction of the wind:
| Winds from the N to NE will push water out of Charlotte Harbor causing water levels to be lower than indicated by the tide charts. |
| Winds from the W to SW will push more water into Charlotte Harbor causing water levels to be higher than indicated by the tide charts. |
